Interesting list. Some of the authors are on my watchlist.
I've been interested in Freedom, too, and even more so in State of Wonder. Loved Bel Canto by Pratchett, which is why I'll probably turn to her book first. Corrections by Franzen made me feel our society is even more slimy than I usually feel it is.
You have prepared a wonderful list, and I think it's a good idea to move to 2012 what you didn't complete in 2011.
